Durham County Council will be continuing their verge hardening work to the estate. The diagram indicates the areas the work will be done. In these areas, the footpath and grass verge will be completely replaced with tarmac.
The work is expected to begin at the start of January.
As stated previously, the key reason this is taking place is to prevent complaints regarding residents parking on grass verges and churning them up. While it will also save the Council money in not having to cut and maintain the grass.Leave a comment
