Thank you to all the key workers, members of the community that followed the government guidance, and for residents that supported vulnerable family members and neighbours during this crisis.
North Lodge and Chester-le-Street’s community spirit has shone through
After such a difficult few months, with many losing loved ones in our community, things are slowly starting getting back to normal. This article can never be enough of a thank you, but I really want to say it.
To all those local businesses who carried on delivering food, to teachers, supermarket staff, delivery drivers, refuse collectors, builders and most importantly of all our NHS staff and care workers who put themselves on the front line everyday to help – a sincere thank you from your local Liberal Democrat County Councillor.
My job as your local Councillor and campaigner has not stopped, and it has been amazing to see so many community champions do their bit for our area. However,we are not out of the woods yet. Please continue to follow the Government’s guidance.
There is a real worry that more elderly people have been facing loneliness with long periods of isolation. This is a time for us all to look out for one another and give special thought to any neighbours who are at particular risk.
I will provide any help I can to local residents in need. If you have issues accessing the official guidance, have any uncertainty about local services or just need someone locally you can call on, please get in touch.Leave a comment
